Darth Vader

I added a Darth Vader Quote gadget. It's tacky and I like it.

Shoes and Beer. Beer and Shoes.

On the corner of Lausitzer Straße and Weiner Straße are two stores devoted to used leather shoes and boots. The one directly on the corner has a huge selection for both ladies and men. A pretty impressive amount of cowboy boots as well which makes me feel right at home. They also have nighties, leather jackets & gloves, fabulous hats, and accordions! The store next to it, where I took this picture, is much smaller and really only has ladies shoes, but the woman who runs it makes up for it by offering beer. It's the little things in life that really fill me with glee, and cracking open a Beck's while I try on shoes falls into this category.

Yellow Sunshine: Organic Veggie Burgers

Fast food organic style. I woke up with a hankering for P. Terry's back in Austin and went on a search for a suitable substitute. They had 20+ versions of a veggie burger as well as veggie currywurst and 'party balls'. I ended up getting the 'chicken cheeseburger'. It was delicious, especially the toasted sesame crusted bun - mmm! Unfortunately, I didn't try the fries because I'm painfully poor and a hefe sounded much better (and it was). I inquired about these 'party balls' because I've seen them listed on numerous veg friendly menus. The girl at the counter couldn't describe them so she let me try one. I really can't offer a description either but the name is hilarious and they are pretty damn tasty.

Best latte in Dublin, hands down.

I'm a bit of a coffee shop nerd and love to find a good place to post up with a book or my macbook for an afternoon, and Darwin's really hit the mark. Fabulous lattes. The food, however, is a bit pricey but it's oh so fresh and tasty (but what isn't in Dublin). I really loved the whole vibe here from the decorating to the music and the friendly staff. I ducked in here to escape from the rain and ended up spending a few hours reading Atlas Shrugged instead of forging onward.
